The Networking & Security Business Unit (NSBU) is a very dynamic, fast changing environment. It combines the ambitiousness of a startup with the market impact of a big player. VMware’s customer sites are growing tremendously, and we’re right there growing with them.

I like solving problems with code because it’s fun to translate a technical problem into a product that people use. As part of the NSX Controller team, I help configure the virtual network. We have a strong team, and I look forward to the new things I learn every day from my coworkers. I work with people who pioneered software defined networking am excited about the new products we have coming. The team is very smart and very nice, so it’s a great place to learn. Our customers love VMware, so the halo effect is great for NSX. They have seen what virtualization can do for them in compute and are eager to do the same for networking.

This is a good time to join the NSBU team because we are changing the way networking works, and you have a chance to help shape what it looks like. My teammates and I are doing for networking what VMware did for physical hardware, and our customers are eager to work with us. It’s a time of great change and it’s a great opportunity to make a difference.
