Fill in the blank: Dare to transform customer networks and their ability to deliver against today’s business needs.

Pursuing a Passion for Technology

I’ve always had an interest in IT – be it computers with the latest gadgets or learning about IT organizations as a Business & Marketing major. During university, I had a number of core study topics, including Information Technology and Organizational Behavior that allowed me to dive deeper into IT industry trends. These experiences fueled my passion for IT and drove me to pursue a career where I could partner directly with customers looking to improve their businesses’ technology practices.

Why VMware

After having spent fourteen years selling IT infrastructure within big “blue chip” organizations, I was ready to be at the forefront of a new technology. The evolution from Hardware-defined to Software-defined allowed me to see the importance software played in the conversations that I was having with customers. I wanted to work with technology that turned an existing practice (networks) on its head and challenged the way our customers and partners deliver network services to achieve real business outcomes.

Life Within the Networking & Security Business Unit

For me, a typical day at VMware is spent driving customer engagements. I work with our core account managers and customers to address their business needs and challenges, while evangelizing VMware NSX with our partners, eco-systems, and key stakeholders across the business. The Networking and Security Business Unit (NSBU) at VMware is a fantastic community that enables my team’s collaboration and success at a local, regional and global level. We have leaders and individual contributors who are all extremely passionate and want to work together to drive positive outcomes for our customers and VMware. From protecting against cyber crime to delivering IT at the speed of business, we are empowering organizations to achieve their business objectives through the mobility of applications, data between data centers, and cloud platforms that allow for application continuity, flexibility in choice and disaster recovery.
