Each year, VMware honors extraordinary employees who contribute to our collective success by living our EPIC2 values – Execution, Passion, Integrity, Customers and Community – with the EPIC2 Achievement Award. This prestigious global award is a way for our community to recognize a select group of individuals that bring all of our values to life in a way that inspires our global employee community to thrive.
What makes the EPIC2 Achievement Award truly unique is that the winners are nominated by their colleagues and are then selected by the executive leadership team at VMware. In 2015, 343 employee nominations were submitted for the 2016 EPIC2 Achievement Award. 46 individuals made it to the final round and in January 2016, Pat Gelsinger, VMware CEO and Betsy Sutter, Corporate SVP and Chief People Officer, announced the seven individual and team recipients of this highly coveted community award during an internal company-wide meeting.

To thank the 2016 EPIC2 Achievement Award winners for their contributions to our community, each of them received a custom Vasa cube, a charitable contribution to direct to the nonprofit of their choice, and an executive luncheon to commemorate this meaningful milestone.
